We’ll be immersing ourselves into English, Maths, Science, and Humanities, building on all the knowledge you’ve gained so far. Get ready to enhance your reading and writing skills, tackle some fun Maths problems, and venture into the fascinating events of history!

Year 4 isn’t just about academics; it’s also a time for personal growth. Here, we will concentrate on our Learning Behaviours: challenge, collaboration, curiosity, independence, perseverance, and pride. Together, we’ll create a supportive classroom environment where everyone feels appreciated and empowered to achieve their best. Remember, ‘Whoever you are, you are welcome here’.

This year, homework will be set on a Friday. We expect the children to carry out an independent spelling quiz and practice on Purple Mash, complete times table practice, and read daily for at least 20 minutes, recording this in their reading diary. We encourage children to be independent when changing reading books, so please ensure your child has recorded any reading in their reading diary when asking to change their book. Our PE day is Thursday; it’s essential that your child comes to school with their P.E kit on ready to take part.
